who we are
what
we do

tnp academy is a 501c3 celebrating neighborhoods everywhere

in response to opportunity inequity in the the United States, tnp academy brings the focus back to humble heroes who, through their community work, are rebuilding the nation from the ground up. thanks to generous support from and collaboration with our
tnp fellows we’re becoming dedicated neighborhood researchers, identifying values inherent in thriving communities, then creating hubs (both on and offline) where those values can be practiced, discussed, and amplified for the benefit of all.

why
we do it

we believe that
gathering diverse groups
of people around meaning has the power to create
much-needed connections,
change perspectives,
and begin to solve common human problems.

how we do it

centered around neighborhood our programs include:

tnp academy leaders

tnp academy live

tnp academy films

tnp academy fellows

invitees and sponsors hand-pick
community leaders from across America to renew and strengthen their purpose by attending the nantucket project events, and participating in specially tailored programming throughout the year that follows. these leaders are teachers, artists, community activists, grassroots organizers, public servants and small-business owners. although incredibly diverse, they share a deep commitment to their local neighborhood.

the academy produces a number of films each year inspired by the dialogues and themes of our events and program participants

for tnp fellows, “impact” is a commitment to asking big questions, embracing new ideas, and collaborating with us on our mission to unite individuals and communities through conversation.

the academy co-hosts several events
throughout the United States each year called “roadshows,” designed to stimulate
conversations around what matters most.
they work in partnership with local stakeholders to increase access to these events —particularly for young people and local community leaders. the academy also hosts online hubs where our leaders’ stories can be told and shared for the benefit of all
American neighborhoods.
